
Anne Anise has won the first World Cup of ski jumpers on snow this season.
The 26-year-old Slovenian, who leapt in the preliminary with 149 meters of ski jump record, prevailed on Saturday in RKA in Finnish in front of the Austrian Stefan Kraft and Piotr Zola from Poland.
The top German jumper Karl Geiger was substantially improved in Poland three weeks ago compared to the start of the season, however could not intervene in to defend the podium ranks.
The 29-year-old took seventh place with two dives to 139.5 meters.
He landed among the top ten for the very first time this season.
Andreas Bellinger was 15th as the second-best jumper from the team of nationwide coach Stefan Forgather, Markus Eisenbichler took 17th location.
The overall leader stays the Pole David Back, which this time finished fourth.
