Football professional Colin Kaepernick could stand before returning to the NFL. The quarterback, which was last in the field in 2017, has been invited to a trial training session by the Las Vegas Raiders, according to agreed media reports.
The 34-year-old would become a colleague of the German professional Jakob Johnson, who switched to the team in spring. Kaepernick had recently shown his current performance in front of NFL scouts.
The teams had not offered the former quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers after their knees at the national anthem. Only the Seattle Seahawks invited him to a trial training session in 2017, but an agreement did not come about.
Kaepernick’s peaceful protest against racism and police violence had caused a sensation. In the meantime there was an out-of-court settlement with the NFL because of his lawsuit to have been discriminated against as a result.
The San Francisco 49ers, once the best playmaker in the league, had led Kaepernick to the Super Bowl at the end of the 2012 season.
